West Side Story to light up Regent stage

Stoke of Genius:

International sensation West Side Story comes to the Regent Theatre this winter.

The Hanley stage hosts the hit musical between November 12-16.

It returns to the UK for the first time since 2009 following sell out shows across the world.

The show is created by BB Promotion in collaboration with Sundance Productions Inc., NY and Howard Panter for the Ambassador Theatre Group.

An adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, the show originally opened on Broadway in 1957 and has since become one of the most successful stage shows and films of all time.

Set in New York, West Side Story explores the love story between two members of rivalry teenage gangs; one white, one Puerto Rican.

The musical featured unforgettable songs 'Maria', 'America' and 'I Feel Pretty'.

Tickets at the Regent Theatre are now on general sale.
