Staffordshire’s
largest free arts festival is looking for people to perform at the
second year of the weeklong event.
The Bertarelli Foundation Creative Minds Festival will
celebrate school and community group’s achievements from July 2-6.
Professional
practitioners at the
Regent Theatre and
many others will showcase music, singing, drama, dance, film and the
visual arts.
The
festival is searching for forty schools and/or groups to join and
participate for free.
This is seen as an exciting opportunity for choirs, rock bands, orchestras, dance groups, drama groups and film-making clubs to get involved in.
Community
groups including Mums and Toddlers, Lads and Dads, ethnic minority
groups, faith groups and many more are welcome to apply.
The
successful entries will create either a fifteen-minute theatre piece,
song(s), music or dance piece, record a five-minute film or create a
piece of artwork to be exhibited at the theatre during the festival.
Free
workshops will also be available for schools to book at the Regent
Theatre.
The
deadline to express an interest is February 28.
