Cannock man arrested after cannabis plants are seized

A man has been arrested after police found a cannabis factory at a house in Cannock.

Almost 100 plants were discovered along with around £6,000 in cash, a van and two motorbikes at the property on Longford Road.

The 26-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs with intent to supply following a drugs warrant. He has been released on bail pending further inquiries.

Chief Inspector Carl Ratcliffe, Local Policing Team Commander for Cannock, said: “Through Operation Nemesis we’re continuing to crack down on drug supply across the Cannock area.

“Drug crime can blight local communities. We treat it very seriously and will always do all we can to bring offenders to justice.”
