Q:
Have you performed at The Regent Theatre before?
A:
I haven't before, no. I'm looking forward to it of course! It sounds
very grand.
Q:
What do you know about the other performers; Gary Delaney and Bethany
Black?
A:
In his spare time Gary teaches woodland animals to dance to Michael
Bolton records and Bethany runs a micro-brewery in Uttoxeter.
Q:
What are you doing at the moment?
A:
Gigging at the moment; writing and gearing up for a big National tour
in the Autumn – dates will be up on www.robrouse.com
in the next few weeks – join the mailing list and you'll be the
first to know about them.
Q:
What do you feel has been the highlight of your career?
A:
Every day I wake up and realise my job isn't really a job; it's
essentially doing and saying all the stuff at school that would have
got me bollocked!
Q:
Have you ever regretted saying a joke?
A:
Once or twice – I think that's part of growing up, but not now. I
don't like comedy that is mean, I think it takes more guts to talk
about your own thoughts and feelings honestly. It's what I find
funnier too.
Q:
What are your audience reactions generally like? Anything unusual?
A:
There's no such thing as a 'usual audience', that's why it's
eternally fascinating to do each night. You can't really tell by
looking at them either – the sweetest looking bunch can be the
filthiest and vice-versa.
Q:
What do you enjoy most about doing what you love?
A:
The answers in your question!
Q:
What have you got planned for the future?
A:
More tours, hopefully filming a script I've written too.
Q:
Is there anything else you would like to mention?
A:
Come see me on tour and I'll tell you a whole lot more!
