Tony Pulis |
The London club have the second worst defensive away record so the Potters will be looking to take advantage.
And Pulis is hoping his side can replicate last season’s 2-0 home victory against the Cottagers.
“It’s been frustrating because on quite a few of the occasions I think we’ve deserved more than just a point,” said Pulis.
“We’ve needed that second goal and a gap to give us the confidence to push on and keep things going.”
Although Peter Crouch and Jon Walters have managed just six goals between them in 12 starts together, the manager has faith in his strikers.
“Kenwyne (Jones) has looked bright these last couple of games and Cameron (Jerome) is still biting, ready to go,” added Pulis.
“I think after bringing in N’Zonzi and Charlie (Adam) into the team we have looked more fluid through the midfield.
“We’ve got the options and hopefully we’ll get that bit of luck in front of goal.”
Stoke City have the best defensive home record in the Premier League and are second to Manchester City overall having conceded just 12 goals.
Fulham are second in goals scored away from home so Pulis is wary of the threat they pose on the attack.
“It’s always a difficult game against Fulham. We certainly won’t be taking Fulham for granted. Berbatov is most probably playing at the top of his game. He makes them tick.”
Pulis also called on clubs to have more faith in their managers, following the sacking of Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo.
“The big thing for me is the people in charge of football clubs, they’re the people who hire and sack the managers.
“You need people who or going to stick behind you and understand what the game is all about.”
Stoke defender Andy Wilkinson received a scan on his back and it is unknown when he will return.
Michael Owen (hamstring), Marc Wilson (fractured fibula) and Rory Delap (hernia) remain sidelined for the Potters.
Fulham captain Brede Hangeland is suspended while Bryan Ruiz and Alexander Kačaniklić are out injured. Mahamadou Diarra returns to the squad.
Kick off is 3pm this Saturday November 24 at the Britannia Stadium.
